Comparison
SevenRooms is built for groups with a revenue manager. Served is built for the owner who is also on the floor tonight.
A CRM-led hospitality platform covering reservations, waitlists, guest profiles, marketing, reputation and operations, aimed at upscale and multi-property groups.
Worth knowing: SevenRooms was acquired by DoorDash, with the deal completing in June 2025. It still operates under its own brand, and since July 2026 it lets partner restaurants query DoorDash and Deliveroo consumer data to recognise arriving guests. SevenRooms has published its own assurance that first-party guest data does not flow back to DoorDash’s marketplace; that a dedicated post was needed tells you the question is being asked.
There is no price on SevenRooms’ pricing page. There is no trial, no self-serve signup, and no way to see the product working on your venue without booking a demo. The deal is scoped in a sales process (venue count, table count, booking volume, which modules) and independent pricing researchers report the result typically involves an annual contract and a separate implementation fee.
That is a rational way to sell to a hotel group. It is worth naming what it costs a single venue: weeks of evaluation you cannot do on your own time, a number you cannot compare against anyone else’s until late in the process, and a commitment sized for organisations that employ someone to manage exactly this kind of vendor relationship.
Served inverts every step of that. The pricing page has euros on it. The Growth Scan runs before you even create an account. The free tier is not a demo: it is the product, kept.
SevenRooms’ own pricing page is honest about its shape: the base plan carries reservations, table management, guest profiles and reputation basics, while email marketing, event management, the Voice AI that answers your phone, WhatsApp and text marketing, API access and the multi-venue Group Portal are all listed as separately priced add-ons.
None of that is hidden, but it means the number you are quoted first is rarely the number you end up paying: the platform’s full value assumes the modules, and the modules stack. When you compare platforms, compare the configured total, not the base.
Served’s plans are flat by design: each tier lists what it includes, the list is the whole list, and the entry tier costs nothing.
SevenRooms is CRM-led software with real depth: automated guest profiles from every touchpoint, segmented marketing tied to revenue reporting, cross-property analytics. Depth has a cost: reviewers consistently report that reaching full proficiency takes one to two months, and the recurring complaint from floor staff is complexity: software that assumes a back office is operating it.
Their marquee customers make the point better than any review: international hotel groups, fine-dining restaurant groups, entertainment venues. Third-party pricing analysis is blunter still, suggesting the economics rarely make sense below roughly ten locations.
Served is built for the other payroll: the one where the person configuring the system is also expediting tonight. Setup is self-serve, the defaults do the work, and nothing about the product assumes you have a spare analyst.
Since June 2025, SevenRooms has been a DoorDash company. The integration is now visible in the product: restaurants gain marketplace exposure to DoorDash and Deliveroo users, and since July 2026 can query those platforms’ consumer data (hundreds of millions of profiles) to recognise arriving guests.
SevenRooms has publicly committed that guest data collected through a restaurant’s own channels does not flow back to power DoorDash’s marketplace. Take them at their word; also notice that the commitment needed publishing, and that it is a policy, not an architecture. The company that owns your CRM now also owns the largest delivery marketplace in its market, and policies are revisitable in a way that ownership structures are not.
Served has no marketplace, no delivery arm, and no second business your guest data could be useful to. Your guest list is yours, and our only model is the subscription you can see on the pricing page.

Choose Served if you are one venue, or a handful, and nobody on the payroll is a revenue manager. SevenRooms is quote-based and enterprise-shaped: you talk to sales, you scope modules, and the tooling assumes someone whose job is to work it. Ours assumes the opposite: that the person configuring it is also expediting tonight. You start free, with no card and no call, and the first thing you get is a Growth Scan telling you where your public presence is losing guests. SevenRooms will manage the guests who already found you; we are built to fix the finding.
SevenRooms fits a multi-property operation with someone whose whole job is covers: hotel food and beverage, a restaurant group, a casino floor. Cross-property reporting and revenue management are what their platform is built around, and buying it means scoping modules with a sales team: sensible when an operations department will run it daily, overkill when the person configuring it is also on the pass. If you are one venue, or a few, and nobody on the payroll is a revenue manager, that machinery is weight you would be paying to carry.
SevenRooms is serious software for organisations shaped like its customer list: groups, hotels, operations departments. If that is you in a few years, you will know. Today, the free Growth Scan will tell you in minutes whether your actual bottleneck is managing the guests you have or being found by the ones you do not.
